JetBlue passenger clashes with friend over ‘stolen’ Apple charger: ‘Is it theft if you return it?’

watt a bold move!

A cheeky JetBlue passenger admitted to taking a passenger’s Apple phone charger on their flight, only to have it flashed back and forth on their plane.

sights of the tense incident, posted on TikTok by @RcRelated, showed the woman walking down the aisle of the plane when the man recording asked her if she was the one who took the charger.

“Yes, I have,” the woman answers boldly, shaking her head impolitely.

The confused man then scolded her for stealing the charger and repeatedly asked her why she thought she could take it.

“No one was on the flight,” she replies, before telling the man to “calm down.”

“Don’t take things without asking!” the man yelled as she continued to walk to her seat a few rows behind him.

“I will return it”, says the woman to the man.

Multiple fliers on the JetBlue plane shielded the thief as they tried to defuse the heated confrontation.

A female passenger sitting next to the upset man asked him to sit down, saying she didn’t want to be “distracted from the plane”.

Another female passenger walking behind the charger thief then intervenes, telling the man that he was “ridiculous” and that she said she would “pay it back”.

“No, you’re being ridiculous. She stole something without asking,” says the annoyed traveler to the interfering passenger.

Finally, the woman reaches her seat three rows back, pulls the charger out of her bag and hands it to the man as he continues to call her out on her theft.

“Is it theft if you give it back?” the woman sarcastically asks the man as he grabs the charger.

“Yes, it’s theft! You are only returning it because I caught you! Everyone else saw you, that’s why!” the man says sternly to the woman before the video ends.

In a follow-up to TikTok, the man explained that the incident happened after their flight was delayed three times.

During one of those delays, the pilot allowed passengers to get off the plane and get some food. The man said he and his wife took advantage of the situation and took off.

While in the terminal, another passenger approached him and informed him that the woman had grabbed his charger, plugged it into a socket in his seat, “wrapped it up and put it in her bag”.

“Keep this in mind, it was plugged in and she unplugged it,” the man shares.

The man then said the flight attendants were aware of the situation and allowed him to “call the authorities” to have the woman “removed from the flight and arrested for theft.”

Knowing he would delay the flight again, the man said “no” and “walked away” from the situation.

The man pointed out that what bothered him the most was how “unapologetic” she was and if “it wasn’t for that” he would never have posted the video. @rcrelated1/TikTok

The alleged charger thief, identified as Vanessa Clover, said the incident was “so extraordinary”.

“I’m being bombarded with harassment, I’m being flooded with death threats,” Clover said in a TikTok about the incident, which happened “over a year ago.”

Clover claimed the charger was found on “the ground of an empty flight”, where passengers were told to remove “all possessions”.

She claims she held the charger to people around her and no one claimed it as theirs. Clover then said she tried to give it to a flight attendant who told her she “wouldn’t take it because they can’t be responsible for passengers’ possessions.”

Clover said the man was recording when she returned to the flight.

She immediately told him she would give it back and needed a moment because her cat was inside her brown carrier and had gotten sick outside the gate before they got back on.

“I wanted to find a safe place to put my cat down,” Clover said. “And also come away from it a little bit like a very aggressive, messy man.”

She admitted she could have done “better” about the situation, but was stressed and “tired” about all the delays and didn’t believe she had stolen anything.

“I acted completely imperfectly, as most of us do ‘under duress,'” she said.

Clover then claims that the flight attendant who approached the man to have him removed and arrested by the police was a “bold-faced lie.”

“This has never happened. What the video neglects to show is that he passes out well after I return the charger.”
